Shipping policy

FREE SHIPPING

Shipping is free across Quebec and Ontario on all orders over $80 before tax.
For the rest of Canada, shipping is free on orders of $125 or more.

PACKAGE DELIVERY

At Avanaa, every chocolate bar, truffle, and cacao product we ship is crafted by a small, passionate team in a workshop that smells like chocolate all day long.
We do everything with heart… but unfortunately, we don’t have the power to deliver faster than a courier on a scooter (we love them, but we don’t control them 😉).

So here’s how our logistics really work:

Order Preparation: 2–3 Business Days

Every order passes through our hands before reaching yours.
We need 2 to 3 business days to prepare it with care.

A few important notes:

  • Carriers do not pick up packages on weekends.

  • Outside of December, we are closed on Mondays (the workshop needs its rest).

  • 24-hour preparation is unfortunately not possible for shipped orders.

  • Please note: the mention “usually ready in 2 hours” applies only to in-store pickup orders.
    This timeframe does not apply to shipped orders.

Fast Local Delivery (EVA — 4 Hours)

For those experiencing a very urgent chocolate craving, we offer 4-hour local delivery in Montreal and surrounding areas.

This option is available only if:

  • You select EVA – Local Delivery at checkout

  • And we are open 🙂

If this service is not selected, your order will follow the standard process:
2–3 days preparation + carrier delivery.

Standard Shipping

Once your order is ready, it is shipped with the carrier automatically selected by our delivery booking platform.
Its role is to choose the fastest available option for your address.

From that point on:

  • Delivery times are those of the carrier, not Avanaa.

  • We have no way to speed up a package once it has been shipped.

  • For any delivery-related questions, please contact the carrier directly using your tracking number.

We always do our best to help, but we are unable to provide individual shipment follow-ups, especially during busy periods.

In Case of an Issue

If the carrier confirms that your package has been lost, simply forward their official message to info@avanaa.ca
We will resend your order at no cost — because no one should cry over lost chocolate.

Holiday Season

December is magical… and a little chaotic.
All carriers experience delays (and so do we!).

If your order is time-sensitive, in-store pickup remains the safest option.

International Shipping

We ship chocolate to Europe and the United States.
Shipping fees are automatically calculated at checkout.

And if not — there’s always the option of hopping on a plane and coming to visit us in Montreal… we’ll make room for you!

SUMMER SHIPPING

We take special care to properly insulate packages shipped during the summer to keep the chocolate cool.
Because chocolate and heatwaves don’t mix, additional delays may apply to all deliveries made from June through September.
